Welcome

What To Expect When You Visit Greater

It’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time. Do I belong here? Am I really welcome? Will the people be unfriendly or too friendly? Will they ask me to speak? Will it be easy to leave if I don’t enjoy it? Will they ask me for money? Will my kids enjoy it? How should I dress? Am I welcome if I don’t believe?

Below are answers to what we believe are the most frequently asked questions of visitors to Greater.

How do I get to Greater?
We are located at 4301 Tannehill Ln. in East Austin. Here's a MAP.

What time is service?
Sunday services begin at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Each service lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It’s best to arrive 10 minutes early to allow for parking. Our busiest Sunday service is the 11 am service.

Where do I park?
Our Parking Ministry will greet you upon your arrival and direct you to the available parking areas around the campus.

What do you teach?
Our teaching is relevant. Our practical biblical teachings deal with real everyday life. The message will be based on the Bible and Pastor Clark will often reference influential people, movies or the latest news stories. If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. If you don't own a bible, don't sweat it, we use screens to project scriptures, sermon points and announcements throughout service.

What should I wear?
We are casual. When you visit Greater, our dress is casual and comfortable. Please don’t buy anything special to worship with us. You are welcome and accepted as you are.

What about my children?
We want your kids to have fun. If you have kids (nursery – 5th grade) our greeters can point you to Promiseland, our children’s worship service, which is located to the right as you enter the lobby. When you drop your children off, you’ll be asked to register them as part of our Greater security system, so you’ll know your kids are safe and well cared for. Children's church is offered at both our 8:30 am and 11 am worship services and is closed on 4th Sundays for Family Worship Service.

Is there anything for teens?
We offer Student Worship Services for your teenagers in Middle School or High School. These are services designed for students so they can connect with God in a way they can understand and with each other through meaningful small group discussions. The Student Worship Services are held every Sunday at 11 am, except the 5th Sunday, on our second floor in the Middle School and High School Assembly areas.

What’s the music like?
Our style of music is contemporary. We have a praise band and a praise team that lead us in worship each Sunday. We sing contemporary songs, but we also throw in a traditional song or two to keep a blend of the old and new.

Am I expected to give money?
Don’t sweat the offering, our worship service is our gift to you. Do not feel obligated to give in the offering. It is what we do, because membership means something to us.
