Kandi Young Tell them to use their money to do good… By doing this they will be storing up real treasure for themselves in heaven – it is the only safe investment for eternity! - 1 Timothy 6:18-19
Many of us had no idea that nearly half of Jesus’ parables are about possessions. In fact, Jesus had more to say about money than both heaven and hell combined.
At our Wednesday night service this week, we took a somewhat different approach and began a dynamic series entitled Managing our Finances God’s Way. In a greater fashion, our goal is to use the next few weeks to enlighten you on just how deeply God cares about your finances. The information while at times uncomfortable will allow each person to honestly examine the current state of their finances. This series uses a video lesson as a means to deliver the weekly message, followed by small group discussion, and q&a.
Week 1 introduced The Big Picture explaining that everything we have is a gift from God. As Christians we must desire to follow God’s pattern instead of that of the world’s. We learned about two misconceptions about money, and that God will only give us what he has given us the capacity to handle.
We closed asking each person to follow the prayer direction for the week, and to immediately begin practicing the lessons learned.
If you missed it, it’s not too late! If you had the privilege of being in the place, my prayer is that you are already being blessed from this deeper understanding of what God has spoken about this specific area of your life.
Either way, we’d love to hear from you. If you were there, what impact did the lesson have on you?
Until next time – Be Blessed!

Pastor White Recently, I started a new series called, "Da' Pimp Game." Basically, I believe God wants me to EXPOSE THE DEVIL and his strategies to take us out! And since i have been studying and preaching this series, i come to realize that the Devil is a big old pimp! This series has made me be more purposeful in my prayer life. I pray for my family, friends, GMZ, students and the lost more than ever. Why? Because i now see the Satan for who he really is; A PIMP! I don't want to be like Adam, who sat and watched his wife (Eve) get pimped. I want to do something about it. What about you? Can you relate to this? Do you see Satan, like Mike Epps says, "Something like a Pimp!" If so, let me hear your comments.
1-Love,
K-Dove

Pastor Clark Here we go again … doing something else to make Greater greater!
I hope you already “get” the vision of the new site. But just in case let me share a few bullets with you.
o We want to be a greater witness. Guests often visit a website before attending a church. We want our virtual face to be as attractive as possible. The info on visiting GMZ, starting over with God, the sermons available, and ultimately the online store will prepare us to reach more unchurched people.
o We want to do greater ministry. The church blog will improve the ability of ministries to communicate and for our pastors to connect with the church. Soon room and check requests will be available. Discussions about Sunday worship and sermons can be had that extend the impact of God’s work among us. The e-Devotionals will also be included on the church blog and can be discussed by the online family.
o We want to have greater community. The possibilities of greater members to connect are endless – prayer requests can be shared, questions of faith can be discussed, and supportive connections can be established.
Even though we have launched the site, we know there is more construction to be done. Will you help? Please tell us what you like about the site. What grabs you? What do you value?
Also give us some ideas on how we can make it better. We want as interactive of a community as we can possibly have.
By the way, I finally got the pictures of “Big G” off the site. Praise Jesus!
Gaylon Clark
Lead Pastor
